Attention passengers, it’s time for an unforgettable trip. The Exchanging Glances project is organizing a photo tour: a series of exhibitions in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, with images of some of the most famous cities in Brazil and Canada.
The goal of Crossed Looks is to encourage the exchange and rapprochement between both cultures. The idea is to always invite a Brazilian to photograph in Canada and a Canadian to photograph in Brazil. The result can be seen in a special exhibition and in the publication of a photo book.
The cities photographed until today were: São Paulo-Montreal, Vancouver-Florianópolis, Brasília-Ottawa and Rio de Janeiro-Toronto.
The photographers are the Brazilians Renato Negrão (Montreal), Miguel Schmitt (Vancouver), Kazuo Obubo (Ottawa), Ana Rodrigues (Toronto); and the Canadians Luc Dubois (São Paulo), Brian Noppè (Florianópolis), Daniel Sanford (Brasília) and Robert DiVito (Rio de Janeiro).
