The year 2024 was marked by impactful discussions led by the Economic Affairs Commission (CAE) of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CCBC). Concluding the annual calendar, the final meeting in December gathered business leaders, experts, and representatives from the Canadian Consulate to address key challenges and opportunities shaping the bilateral economy over the year.

Established as a strategic working group, the CAE stands out as a vital forum for discussing and fostering opportunities between Brazil and Canada. Throughout the year, the commission held 11 monthly meetings, averaging 20 participants per session.

Topics included international business trends and perspectives, the impact of female leadership and gender equity in corporate environments and boards, and trade and investment recommendations for the B20 and G20. These discussions provided strategic insights for businesses and organizations aiming to strengthen their market connections in both countries.

“The success of the Economic Affairs Commission reflects the importance of the topics discussed and the CCBC’s commitment to promoting high-level debates. These meetings build bridges to concrete business opportunities between Brazil and Canada,” said Ronaldo Ramos, President of the CCBC and CAE Coordinator.

For 2025, the commission plans to host new rounds of discussions and expand its activities in Canada. By doing so, the CCBC reinforces its mission to drive economic development and foster cooperation between the two nations.
