Québec’s Minister of International Relations, Christopher Skeete, highlighted the importance of free trade and sought to deepen bilateral cooperation between trusted partners during his visit to Brazil
In an interview with Times Brasil, the exclusive CNBC licensee in Brazil, he outlined Québec’s plans to increase integration among governments, companies, and institutions in both territories.
Among the priority sectors, the minister emphasized collaboration in critical minerals and the aerospace industry, underscoring the technological capabilities and global influence of companies such as Embraer and Bombardier.
In the technology sector, Québec’s investment mechanisms and innovation support programs also serve as key tools for fostering new business opportunities and expanding exports.
As free and bilateral trade remains a historic pillar of economic development, Skeete said he has high expectations regarding the benefits that could arise from the signing of a trade agreement between Canada and Mercosur.
