The future of work has already begun: the skills that make a difference in the age of Artificial Intelligence

By Thays Chioquete, representative of ILAC International College in Brazil

Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation are redefining the labor market at an unprecedented pace. Technologies once limited to specialists have become part of the day-to-day operations of companies across all sectors, making professional development essential for those who want to remain competitive.

This shift is already reflected in leading studies on the future of work. According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, 39% of the skills required in the labor market are expected to change by 2030. Among the fastest-growing skills are technological literacy, Artificial Intelligence, data analysis, analytical thinking and creativity. Along similar lines, LinkedIn’s Work Change Report 2025 estimates that 70% of the skills used in most professions will be transformed by the end of the decade, driven by the rapid evolution of AI.

This landscape does not affect technology professionals alone. Marketing, business administration, finance, education, human resources and many other fields are already incorporating Artificial Intelligence and automation tools into their daily activities. The key differentiator is increasingly the ability to understand these technologies, use them strategically and adapt to constant changes in the market.

In response to this demand, interest is growing in short-term programs focused on developing practical skills. The Professional Certificates offered by ILAC International College were designed precisely with this goal in mind. In just four weeks, the Accelerated Digital Marketing and Tools, AI for Non-Technical Professionals, Designing AI Workflows for Business and Intro to Project Management programs provide intensive training based on case studies, hands-on projects and the immediate application of knowledge in professional settings.

In addition to content aligned with the current needs of companies, the programs offer an international experience in Canada, a country recognized for its innovation ecosystem and excellence in education. Students also take part in career workshops, receive guidance on résumés and interviews, and develop intercultural skills that are increasingly valued by global organizations.

In a constantly changing job market, continuous learning is no longer a differentiator — it has become an essential part of a professional career. Investing in skills such as Artificial Intelligence, digital marketing and project management is a way to keep pace with change and be prepared for the opportunities emerging in an increasingly connected and dynamic environment.
