Dear colleagues,
In the midst of the unprecedented circumstances we are going through, we would like, first of all, to convey our most sincere wishes for health and safety to all, extending them to your family and friends.
In view of this situation, CAM-CCBC has adopted measures that attest to its total commitment, on the one hand, to the preservation of the integrity of the community as a whole, including its collaborators, arbitrators, mediators, experts, lawyers, parties, and, on the other, to the efficient administration of alternative dispute resolution methods.
CAM-CCBC is proud to participate in the relevant ADR market, that has been safely adaptating to the current situation , with social responsibility, and maintaining the excellence that is so dear to it.
In this context, today, CAM-CCBC approved the second Administrative Resolution that addresses the necessary rules for the continuity of the administration of proceedings, even in view of the limitations imposed by the development of the Covid-19 in the country. Administrative Resolution 39/2020, the first resolution that addressed the issue, determined emergency measures valid from March until April 1st , 2020.
Now, the Administrative Resolution 40/2020 allows the proceedings to continue to be regularly processed on a 100% remote basis, adapting the arbitration practice to exclusively electronic communications.
The Center is especially grateful to its team, for its constant and tireless dedication, and to its partners and clients for their trust, expressing its admiration for all those who persevere in their professional activities, in favor of the continuous access to justice and promotion of the Brazilian economy.
We will continue to fulfill our mission in the administration of proceedings with the social commitment incumbent upon all of us.
We hope that the on-site activities accross the country and the person-to-person contact are resumed as soon as possible.. In the meantime, we will remain more united than ever and wish you all health and safety.
Kind regards,
Eleonora Coelho
President of the CAM-CCBC
