Online travel platform Hotel Urbano (Hurb) has just announced its entry into the Canadian market. The company is opening an office in Montreal, with the aim of being closer to local innovation centers and attracting talent in the technology area.
With over 20 million registered travelers, 35 thousand destinations around the globe and over 12 million fans on Facebook, Hurb had already opened offices in Portugal, and intends to approach international institutions of innovation. According to its CEO João Ricardo Mendes, the arrival in Canada will allow the company to be closer to research and innovation projects and partnerships in the area of artificial intelligence.
By settling in Montreal, the company counted on the support of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CCBC), through its Brazil Hub initiative – which makes it possible to support Brazilian companies that want to internationalize their business in Canada.
