The state, however, wants to broaden this portfolio and attract new Canadian business partners across other sectors of the Par\u00e1 economy, ranging from agribusiness to manufacturing. With this goal in mind, business owners, executives and representatives of institutions will meet in Bel\u00e9m on September 30 for the Par\u00e1-Canada Road Show.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Events Hall of the Federation of Industries of the State of Par\u00e1 (FIEPA), in Bel\u00e9m. It will be organized by the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CCBC) in partnership with FIEPA and the International Business Center of Par\u00e1 (FIEPA CIN), with the support of FIEPA Redes. In addition to attending presentations on opportunities in the Canadian market, participants will be able to schedule individual conversations with CCBC specialists for personalized guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The purpose of these conversations is to encourage executives to discuss their companies and address any specific questions regarding the international business relationships they seek to develop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Under the theme Amazon Products Connected to New Opportunities in the International Market<\/em>, the program aims to present pathways for companies from Par\u00e1 to expand their presence abroad, while fostering connections with potential partners and deepening knowledge of opportunities to access the Canadian market. The event will cover different types of opportunities between the two countries, including exports, imports, research and development, innovation and investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPar\u00e1 brings together a range of characteristics and sectors with significant potential to expand its presence in international markets,\u201d says Arminio Calonga, business consultant at the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CCBC). \u201cThe Road Show is designed precisely to bring companies from Par\u00e1 closer to the opportunities available in Canada, present pathways to access this market and create connections that can turn into new business and partnerships,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Between January and July 2026, Par\u00e1\u2019s exports to Canada totaled approximately US$322 million, concentrated primarily in mineral products. Calcined alumina led the export portfolio, with approximately US$254 million exported during the period, followed by uncalcined bauxite, at US$39 million, and kaolin, at approximately US$20 million. The figures highlight the importance of the mining sector in the current trade relationship between the state and the North American country, while also pointing to room to diversify the export portfolio and expand the presence of other products from Par\u00e1 in the Canadian market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Throughout the Road Show, business owners and participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the Canadian business environment, identify new internationalization opportunities and discuss strategies to strengthen trade between Par\u00e1 and Canada. The initiative also seeks to create an environment for networking among companies, organizations and professionals interested in developing international connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPar\u00e1 has a diversified industry and products with unique characteristics from the Amazon that may find new opportunities in international markets. We have potential in different sectors, from the bioeconomy and food to mining, forest products and other industrial value chains. The Road Show is an opportunity to showcase this productive capacity to the Canadian market, bring our companies closer to potential partners and expand business opportunities between Par\u00e1 and Canada,\u201d says Cassandra Lobato, manager of the International Business Center at FIEPA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The partnership between the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada, FIEPA and CIN-PA reinforces the importance of institutional cooperation in connecting companies from Par\u00e1 with opportunities abroad.
