The advancement of the process comes after months of intense political maneuvering by the nominee himself, who worked actively behind the scenes to overcome initial resistance to his name within the chamber, including from Senate leadership. The current expectation is that the nomination will be confirmed by senators, consolidating a process that gained momentum thanks to Messias\u2019 direct efforts in building support.<\/p> The decision to schedule the hearing, however, should not be interpreted as a sign of unrestricted rapprochement or automatic alignment between the Senate presidency and the Presidential Palace. Rather, the move reflects a more pragmatic recognition of the political viability of the nomination.
