The event, an initiative of the entity\u2019s Education Committee, brought together students, professionals, and representatives from well-known Canadian colleges under the theme Your Destination for a Global Career<\/em>. Held at the institution\u2019s headquarters in S\u00e3o Paulo with free online streaming, the event offered a special program focused on international education aligned with the demands of local and global markets.<\/p> Featuring in-person activities, thematic panels, and interactive spaces, the event introduced the Brazilian audience to a wide range of language courses, vocational programs, undergraduate and graduate studies offered by educational institutions across various regions of Canada.<\/p> The event aimed to provide a dynamic and personalized experience, bringing participants closer to concrete academic opportunities in Canada, with a focus on developing skills valued in different professional contexts. Topics covered included employability, technology, innovation, and the economic profiles of Canadian provinces, as well as travel tips and special offers from Air Canada, the event\u2019s sponsor.<\/p> \u201cCanadian education is spread across all cities and provinces. Flying to these locations with the only airline that flies directly from Brazil to Canada makes all the difference. We offer special conditions for students, along with convenience, quality service, and support tailored to this audience,\u201d highlighted Hugo Silva Franco, Sales Account Manager at Air Canada.<\/p> The initiative also counted on partnerships with BELTA (Brazilian Educational & Language Travel Association) and Maple Bear, strengthening the connection between Brazilian and Canadian institutions in the field of education. During the afternoon, representatives from colleges such as Douglas College, Sault College, SAIT, St. Lawrence College, ILAC, and NorQuest College \u2014 along with representatives from the Quebec Government Office in S\u00e3o Paulo and the Canadian Consulate in Brazil \u2014 participated in discussions and answered questions from the public, emphasizing Canada as one of the top destinations for those seeking to invest in a solid and internationally connected career.<\/p> St. Lawrence College<\/strong> Another highlight is its network of partnerships with Canadian companies. Programs eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) are an important advantage for those looking to start an international career with security and support.<\/p> \u201cI see a growing trend for this event to expand year by year,\u201d said Mar\u00edlia Sim\u00f5es, Recruitment Coordinator at St. Lawrence College. \u201cI notice more and more people interested in studying and living in Canada,\u201d she added.<\/p> NorQuest College<\/strong> Focusing on areas such as health, business, technology, and community services, NorQuest highlighted its practical programs and close alignment with local needs, preparing students to work in real communities with immediate impact.<\/p> \u201cThere is a CCBC hub in Edmonton, and that helps a lot because the Chamber\u2019s committees always maintain contact with our college,\u201d said Thays Chioquete, Regional Account Manager at NorQuest College. \u201cAnd that strengthens all the support our students receive there,\u201d she added.<\/p> SAIT<\/strong> \u201cSAIT focuses on connections, and the Chamber fosters these both inside and outside our institution; this partnership is very enriching for all of us,\u201d summarized Vitor Moraes, Regional Manager Advisor for Brazil at SAIT.<\/p> Douglas College<\/strong> \u201cHere we were able to connect with major players and thus introduce Canada to many people,\u201d highlighted Natalia Horta, Offshore Recruitment Specialist for Brazil & Cono Sur at Douglas College.<\/p> During the event, Horta also emphasized the balance between university education and practical application as a key differentiator for those seeking to build a global career. She further stressed the importance of support for international students and diversity as part of the academic experience.<\/p> Sault College<\/strong> Programs were presented as concrete opportunities for qualification with quick returns, many including paid internships. St. Lawrence College shared its journey as a local reference during the event. Located in Calgary, also in Alberta, SAIT benefits from the city\u2019s innovative environment and modern infrastructure, combining the dynamism of a major urban center with quality of life and close contact with nature. The audience learned about its extensive educational offerings: more than 100 programs in engineering, IT, energy, business, health sciences, and construction.<\/p>
With campuses in New Westminster and Coquitlam, in the Vancouver metropolitan area, Douglas College used the event to showcase its hybrid model between academic training and professional practice. New Westminster is one of British Columbia\u2019s oldest cities, with historic charm and easy access to downtown Vancouver. Coquitlam, meanwhile, is a modern, peaceful city surrounded by nature and well connected by public transportation. The Brazilian audience got to know the programs offered in business, social sciences, health, technology, and creative arts, among others.<\/p>
Located in Sault Ste. Marie, northern Ontario, Sault College stood out by presenting its education approach centered on practical knowledge application. The city, nestled among lakes and surrounded by nature, offers a quieter lifestyle and affordable cost of living \u2014 ideal for those focusing on studies in a welcoming environment. The institution emphasized how it combines theory with direct industry experience, preparing students to enter the Canadian labor market confidently.<\/p>
