Canada is the favorite destination for Brazilian students

It is estimated that, in 2017, at least 23,000 Brazilians went to Canada to study. They integrated a group of 494,500 foreigners, divided by all levels of education. This number represented a growth of 20% compared to the previous year and 119% compared to 2010. Brazil is the fifth country with the highest growth in the number of students in Canada between 2016 and 2017, with an increase of 28%.<\/p>\n

The reason for so much searching is the world-renowned quality of the Canadian educational system. A survey by the Canadian Bureau for International Education<\/em> (CBIE) shows that 95% of international students in the country recommend it as a destination for study; and 51% of them intend to obtain permanent residence in Canadian territory.[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”3.0.47″][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.12.2″ text_font=”||||||||” text_orientation=”justified”]This positive perception is based on three arguments. Two of them have to do with Canada\u2019s general conditions as a country that supports multicultural diversity, without discrimination by origin, gender, creed etc.; and which has high levels of safety. But the main point is the third: the quality of the Canadian educational system. In the last edition of the International Student Assessment Program (Pisa), conducted in 2015 by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the country was one of the best placed in terms of student performance in mathematics, science and text interpretation, in addition to having registered the highest levels in terms of equality in education.<\/p>\n

With well-developed and innovative undergraduate programs at renowned universities, reasonably low prices and relatively cheap cost of living, Canada is the best choice for high-quality education.<\/p>\n

For those looking to study at an elite university in one of the most developed countries in the world, applying to study in Canada can be an attractive option. A total of 26 Canadian universities are in the QS World University 2019 ranking, of which three are in the top 50 on the world list and seven are in the top 200.<\/p>\n

The two largest are the University of Toronto (which ranks 28th in the world ranking) and McGill University (33rd place), located in Toronto and Montreal, the two largest cities in Canada.<\/p>\n
